Remember how offended all of Hollywood was by Ricky Gervais and his jokes at the Golden Globes? Remember how people said he’d “never work in Hollywood again?” Remember how people like Judd Apatow blasted him for being so cruel? You don’t? It was like last week, here go look.

Well Gervais did such an awful job and is so despised in Tinsel Town that they naturally asked him to host again. Wa wa wa what?

British funnyman RICKY GERVAIS has been asked to return as host of the Golden Globes next year (12), despite the furore surrounding his acerbic style at last month’s (Jan11) prizegiving.

Hey, calm down Mr. Wordsmith! We don’t all own a dictionary. Aerobic style? He did aerobic moves? Ohhh acerbic. Got it. What this article is trying to say is that Gervais was asked to host next year even though he just told it like it was using one-liners.

The comedic actor sparked outrage during his hosting duties at the glitzy awards show after aiming a number of barbed jibes at the star-studded audience.

“The ratings went up again, and the organisers asked me to consider a third year. (But) I don’t think I should. I don’t know what I could do better. I certainly couldn’t get more press for them, that’s for sure. You know me. Two seasons is enough.”

Ratings make everyone forgive and forget. It’s like settling out of court or giving her money for a taxi home.

Gervais refused to apologise for his words – and now the star has revealed chiefs have already asked him to front the ceremony for a third time in 2012.

But Gervais is considering snubbing the invite – because he doesn’t think he can top his recent appearance.

Oh please try. Oh please, please try.

I’m glad he said no. Gives me an excuse not to give a crap about another awards show.
