Superheroes live in the human world. Well, most of them, and it’s like the world we know but not exactly Earth as we know it. Ok, way too technical. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that superheroes and comic books often react to what’s going on in real life; Captain America fought Hitler, Vietnam was mentioned in more than a few titles and Christmas usually gets the yearly mention.

Santa is usually good for some appearances in comics. If the jolly fat man doesn’t show his face, usually one of the heroes does the job instead. This means plenty of Santa comic covers or holiday themed stories.

Here are some examples of when Christmas gets the comic book treatment.
