See You In Ten speculates on where some of the young, up-and-coming stars of Hollywood will be ten years from now.

    Today’s Subject: Mila Kunis

How she got here: Kunis began appearing in print-ads, catalogues, and TV commercials for children’s products at the age of 9. Her first TV role was as the young Hope Williams on an episode of Days of our Lives. She had a minor role on 7th Heaven as Lucy’s nemesis and supporting roles in Santa with Muscles, Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves, and the Angelina Jolie film Gia. In 1998 Kunis was cast as Jackie Burkhart in the Fox sitcom That ’70s Show. All who auditioned were required to be at least 18 years old; Kunis, who was 14 at the time, but told casting she would “be 18 soon.” Though they eventually figured out her age but the producers still thought Kunis was the best fit for the role so they let it slide.

    What she is doing now:
This past year, Kunis won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor or Actress at the 67th Venice International Film Festival for her performance as Lily in Black Swan. Black Swan has been getting serious Oscar buzz, and while she isn’t favored to win, there is talk that Kunis could at least be nominated for a Supporting Actress trophy. If I had to guess a former That 70’s Show alum to win an Oscar I would have said Wilmer Valderama. Shows what I know.

See You in Ten: Even if she doesn’t win, just a nomination will catapult Kunis into A-list territory. A win, on the other hand, make her super A-list and lines her up for a ton of plumb roles. Either way, Kunis will be around for a long time. It’s amazing I got through this whole thing without once saying how hot she is too. Good for me.
