See You In Ten speculates on where some of the young, up-and-coming stars of Hollywood will be ten years from now.

    Today’s Subject: Emma Stone

    Emma Stone

How she got here: Talk about a woman that knows what she wants, at the age of fifteen Stone allegedly gave a PowerPoint presentation to her parents, set to the Madonna song “Hollywood”, to convince them to let her move to California for an acting career. She dropped out of high school, and in 2004, moved with her mother to a Los Angeles. She was then home schooled, so that she could audition during the day.

Stone made her feature film debut in the comedy Superbad and appeared in the movies House Bunny, The Rocker, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Zombieland. Her most recent starring role was in the movie Easy A.

What she is doing now: In a what could be a major career step, Stone has signed on to play the role of Gwen Stacy in a reboot of the Spider-Man film series. She is also is being considered for the lead in a reboot of 21 Jump Street.

See you in ten: Emma Stone will be around a long time. She is versatile (proven in her recently SNL hosting spot) and not too bad to look at in any leading role. The Spider-Man gig could be huge for the 22-year-old star and might lead to many more huge paydays down the road. Of course, that all depends on how good the movie is, which wouldn’t really be Emma’s fault. Either way, Stone is star on the rise.
