How Colored Baby Chicks are MadeAugust 31, 2011 at 12:16 pm
Here’s something crazy that’s been going on for years: by injecting fertile egg embryos with colored dyes and inks, chicken farmers can create baby chicks in any color they want. These chicks aren’t dyed after hatching. They’re colored before they even poke their fuzzy little...

While mostly used for medicinal purposes (and warfare, be it office or overseas), people have taken X-rays and used them in interesting and unconventional ways. A Collection of Nerdy Cookie JarsAugust 30, 2011 at 2:30 pm
If there’s one thing nerds love, it’s Star Wars. If there’s another thing they love almost as much, it’s cookies, so it makes perfect sense that the cookie jar industry would be wrought with nerdy cookie jars. Pick your nerd poison: whether it’s Star Wars, Doctor Who, vintage...
That’s Kind of Racist, Words With Friends…August 30, 2011 at 1:00 pm
To be fair, “Jews” isn’t an actual word. It’s a slang term for “Jewish people”, so technically Words With Friends is right, but did they have to be so harsh and indirectly racist about it? If you or someone you know has been a victim of accidental word-game racism, check out EgoTV’s Facebook Page and follow us on Twitter.

Hurricane Irene Aftermath PhotosAugust 29, 2011 at 3:46 pm
Hurricane Irene pissed all over the East Coast this weekend, but luckily it wasn’t nearly as devastating as many predicted. Irene caused extensive damage to some parts of the Eastern United States, though, and the subsequent flooding in Vermont is the worst the state has seen in more than a century....
