Terence McKenna’s ‘Stoned Ape Theory’ Gets AnimatedAugust 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm
Terence McKenna was a philosopher and proponent of psychedelic experimentation up until his death in 2000. In his 1992 book Food of the Gods, Terence offered up an explanation as to how homosapiens experienced such a quick, dramatic, and almost unnatural rise in intelligence millions of years ago that...
Pyro PugAugust 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm
People love dressing their dogs in ridiculous costumes and taking photos of them, but the pug photos are always the best because pugs are outrageously silly looking. The thing I like about the pug photo above is that this clearly took a lot of time to set up. They had to get a stroller, attach a pink parasol, and buy about $300 worth of fireworks for that pink stroller. That’s dedication, and that’s what makes this the most epic pug photo ever. It’s probably not as epic as Literal Couch Surfing, though. For more photos of cute things playing with explosives, check out EgoTV’s Facebook Page and follow us on Twitter.

The Smartest Animals in the WorldAugust 4, 2011 at 6:00 am
Rise of the Apes opens in theaters tomorrow, and that means two things will be happening next week: James Franco will still be doing something weird and off-beat, and some people are going to be overcome with an inexplicable fear that some super-smart lab apes are going to take over the world and annihilate...
Videos of Pets Falling Down StairsAugust 3, 2011 at 3:00 pm
Putting a pet into a home with stairs is like putting a group of novice skateboarders into a construction site. Most of the time everything will be fine and boring, but every now and then something completely awesome will occur. It doesn’t matter if it’s a puppy, a hamster, a cat, or even...
Not a Good Time, Horny Caribou!August 3, 2011 at 1:00 pm
Humans are the only species that considers it inappropriate to just bone anywhere at any time. In other words, we’re the only animals who aren’t animals. If humans acted like caribou, the world would be a cesspool of complete and utter humping-in-public chaos. Imagine if you were just walking through the mall (people still go to the mall, right?) and some dude was aggressively trying to hump a girl who was standing in line at Wetzel’s Pretzels. People would NOT allow that to happen, but in the animal world that’s just how it goes. Speaking of humping and animals, here’s Kate Upton dressed as a farmer’s daughter. For a complete list of all the ways that animals are different than people, check out EgoTV’s Facebook Page and follow us on Twitter.

People Mimicking StatuesAugust 3, 2011 at 7:30 am
Statues are works of art, so it only makes sense that we humans would spend most of our time mocking them. Okay, so maybe it’s not mocking them exactly, but for some reason people seem obsessed with mimicking statues. Maybe it’s just a natural reaction to seeing a person-shaped block of marble...
How Educated are Republican Presidential Candidates?August 3, 2011 at 6:00 am
The next presidential election is still 15 months away, but a healthy selection of candidates, particularly from the Republican side, have already begun lining up to throw their hats in for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2012. With so many early contenders chomping at the bit to claim the...
27 Amazing Soap SculpturesAugust 2, 2011 at 3:00 pm
Most of us just use soap to wash filth off of our bodies once a week, but some people actually use soap to create amazing soap sculptures. Soap sculptures go to painstaking lengths to create remarkable works of art with striking detail. They seem to prefer sculpting flowers, mainly because flower soap...
