Talking Horses & Twitching Corpses: The 10 Funniest Game Glitches of All Time
1. Heavy Rain, “SHAUUUUUUUUUNN”
The end of Heavy rain is supposed to be loaded with tension and drama. However, these guys glitched the game so that the lead character can only yell “Shaaaaaaaunnnnn” over and over while the other characters nonchalantly continue the plot.
2. Red Dead Redmption, Talking Flying Horse
Horse people abound in RDR glitches, but the funniest one involves a well-studied horse expounding on the marvel of flight. He then shows off his flying machine and goes for a ride. That’s some bird poop that can kill.
3. Goldeneye, Spastic Cartridge Tilting
With cartridges, one good way to get them glitching was to slightly remove the cartridge during gameplay. The best example of this is Goldeneye, where a simple move of the cartridge causes characters to electric boogaloo.
4. Humping Glitches
Too many to include in this list, we are posting our favorite out-of-place humping scenes, here. Those randy sprites.
5. Mass Effect, Bizarre Double Entendres
This space epic has numerous glitches of various magnitudes. However, the best one matches a crudely sexual glitch with some unintentionally sexual dialogue for side-splitting results:
6. The Sims, Freak Babies
Sometimes, the Sims will forget to be a happy game and transform into a horrific bastardized version of Rosemary’s baby. Pregant women will spawn Lovecraftian demons that just act baby enough to make you realize you have to spend your entire (sim) life caring for it:
7. Oblivion, Love-Hate Dog Relationship
The poorly-named Rimalus Bruiant tells the player how much he loves his dogs. It’s a little creepy. But then the whole thing takes a turn for the hilarious when, immediately after professing his love for dogs, Rimalus begins to wail on his pet dogs mercilessly.
8. Skyrim, Rain of Trains
As advertised, the character decides to brutalize a town by conjuring up a storm of steam engines:
9. NBA Elite 2012 Demo, Jesus on the Court
One of the players, probably due to a bout of mental illness, thinks he’s Jesus. Then, he spends the entire game trying to convince the audience he is Jesus by striking a Jesus-like pose. This game was cancelled shortly before its release:
10. Havok Games. Twitching Corpses
Games that use the Havok physics engine, such as Fallout 3, have a funny glitch involving dancing corpses. Here, the illustrious Mr. Tenpenny is made to dance like the corpse of a prostitute when a bunch of sailors get buried:
