There’s no better way to show your patriotism, and spend $50,000, then by getting an American flag and covering a stadium with it. Well, actually, a $50,000 stick of dynamite would be a better way, but that’s not the point. The point is we, as a nation, are so fervently obsessed with these cheeky notions called “civil rights and democracy” that we’ll cheer wildly for an empty stadium, as long as it has a giant flag in it.
