The first Barbie doll went on display at the American Toy Fair in New York in 1959, and Barbie dolls have been grotesquely morphing our idea of the ideal woman ever since. Mattel has manufactured thousands of different Barbie dolls over the years. Most of them have been standard Barbies distinguished with girly jobs, shiny dresses, or a cute little toddler. Great post! Yeah Barbie’s have morphed through all sorts of weird releases over the years, well that’s maybe because she is 53 years old; I bet it’s the menopause!
