    Dogs are Man’s best friend, and there’s a good reason for that: a long time ago dogs realized that hanging around humans was a good way to consistently get food, and humans were especially giving if the dog cooperated and followed orders. Thousands of years later, we all have dogs that we walk around the neighborhood, share our beds with, and feed consistently. Dogs are smart animals, but when it comes to thinking, their thought process is pretty simple, which is probably why they’ve been successful as a species. Here’s a handy flowchart that accurately explains how a dog’s brain works:
