    48 years ago today, The Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, marking the legendary band’s first appearance on American soil. The year was 1964, and the rest of the modern world was already knee-deep in Beatlemania. The cultural and musical impact of The Beatles was so profound and revolutionary that it can’t even be quantified, and their effect on women (or should I say, teenaged girls) can’t be ignored either. Imagine Bieber Fever times four. That’s what The Beatles had, and it all began on February9, 1964 when The Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. This is what that day looked like:
