    Sometimes it’s difficult to fathom how millions of people around the world are starving. How can people be deprived of food when you can buy a taco for 49 cents? How often do we leave a restaurant with half of an unfinished meal just sitting on the table? Believe it or not, there’s not a McDonald’s on every single corner in the entire world, and even if there were, most of the global population couldn’t afford a 69-cent cheeseburger. The food crisis has two sides, though: a billion people in the world simply don’t have enough food, and the people who do have enough food are incredibly wasteful with it.
