Why You Shouldn’t Swim After a Hurricane
-
This picture was taken in Puerto Rico shortly after Hurricane Irene ravaged the island. Yes, that’s a shark swimming down the street next to a car, and this is exactly why authorities in NYC are warning people not to go swimming in flood waters after a hurricane. Sharks go where fish go, and fish go where water goes, and if that water (and those subsequent fish) happen to be right outside your front door, then guess where that freakin’ shark’s going to be?! This is a fake photo
The hurricane that became a tropical storm was nothing short of surprises.
Actually sharks doesn’t go where fish go, they prefer deep water and this is not natural behavior for sharks.
If sharks didn’t go where fish go, they would starve. and there would not be sharks swimming in rivers and there wouldn’t be sharks near a shore line, and it’s quite likely the water isn’t hot.
By definition, where sharks go, fish go. Sharks are fish.
Where are the Jets?
This picture is an obvious photoshop hoax. The shark in this picture was lifted from a well known photo by Thomas P. Peschak taken in 2003 off the coast of South Africa. Nice shop but as they say…you can see the pixels!

Really glad I wasn’t in the one in the boat it was really following. Would have had a heart attack on the spot. That was a big shark.

Justin,
Where did you get that photo? Can you validate it’s not some sort of photoshop image?

This picture is a fake. It’s merged with a very famous picture of a great white shark following a sea kayak in South Africa.
But either way, are you really suggesting that people avoid the streets of post-Irene New York because there might be great white sharks there??!! Don’t worry, the only sharks you’ll find in Manhattan will be on Wall Street…
When I look at this picture, I keep seeing Craig Ferguson’s shark puppet, singing King of the Road
yiiiiikes! That’s 80% terrifying, 20% kinda cool.
Hey wait a minute. http://i.imgur.com/nRTsB.jpg
fake photo. this is the one that the shark was actually taken from (which is also a fake photo – but it’s the same shark) http://fieldandstream.blogs.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/01/04/shark0201_468x318.jpg
Such a fake. Not a terrible retouching job though. Probably a jr. to mid-level retoucher. Nice try anyway.
As sharks are one of the least dangerous animals you can see, why is this such big news? Unless you are a fish. Do many fish read this news?
