The first roller coaster in America opened in Coney Island Amusement Park on June 16, 1904. Since then, roller coasters have evolved exponentially. What started as a 25mph thrill ride has now become a battle between roller coaster engineers and your ability to not throw up while traveling upside down at 150 mph. Those old outdated roller coasters are massive and very difficult to disassemble, so many were just left there to rot and decay.
