Judging by this gallery of soldiers with kittens, you’d think Iraq and Afghanistan were just teeming with tiny, helpless little orphan kittens desperately in need of some tender loving care. Memorial Day is fast approaching, so this is the perfect time to remember that behind every soldier, there’s a human being who sometimes can’t help but nurture a little adorable baby animal back to health.

      They’re really love cats.

Please learn to differentiate Soldiers from other warriors. The term soldier refers to (In Americas case) the Army alone, not the Marine Corp or the Air Force, both of which are not only here, but have captions superimposed on them saying “Soldier and sidekick” and “tuff soldier not so tuff”. Those two service members are a Marine and an Air Man respectively. Please use some consideration in further instances.

How can people be so cynical that they would condemn kindness in any form or circumstance? What hateful people that submitted such comments.

Don’t know what Reichstag officers are, the Reichstag was building, didn’t realize buildings had chains of command. But, Name is correct, Nationalist Socialist teachings were always to be a servant of nature. And just because they wore the iron eagle and fought for Germany doesn’t make the idealogical Nazi’s, same as putting on camo and sitting in the woods doesn’t make you a bush.

    5. I see one soldier of color (possibly 2?) in the whole line of photos though I was initially primed with iraq and afghanistan, where we have a lot of soldiers of color (also female soldiers… just one of those, too) fighting. I can’t believe that for some reason there weren’t enough pictures of soldiers of color out there, and I find it sad to see yet another whitewashing of our diverse armed forces in the web 2.0 media.

Are those Reichstag officers in one photo???? I love how they have a grenade sitting next to the kitten. Probably blew him up a second later.

That’s great !!! Care for kittens and kill people.

This is great stuff….except for the one with all the NAZIs. Nothing says “cute kittens” as well as “Happy Memorial Day” like genocidal NAZIs.

The Nazis actually believed that every animal should be taken care of and loved. One of the Nazi teachings was actually to be a friend of nature. Doesn’t mean they didn’t hate a lot of people and want to kill a lot of people but most Nazi solders would actually go out of their way to save dogs and cats caught on the battlefield.

Cats are so cool, you just gotta love cats.
