A&E, Steven Seagal Lawsuit Originally Thought “Hard To Kill” But Is Now “Marked For Death”

Steven Seagal and A&E settled a lawsuit regarding Seagal’s show Lawman. I hoped it would go on longer to see how many Seagal movie titles I could fit into a blog. Nope.

The Hollywood Reporter has all the details…

A&E Networks and Steven Seagal have amicably resolved the multi-million dollar idea-theft lawsuit over the actor’s hit reality show Steven Seagal: Lawman.
In the lawsuit against A&E and Seagal, Idea Factory (and its related companies Genuine Entertainment and Rebel Entertainment Partners) argued that Seagal inked a deal with Idea Factory to do the show and that A&E agreed to an implied contract for Idea Factory to produce any Seagal program (and get executive producer fees, production rental fees and participation in revenue from the show, etc).

I have no idea what any of that means but I think most of it was to divert people from the fact Steven Seagal has a hit TV show? He does? I was aware it was on TV but to what standards is it held to be regarded a hit? Number #1 on cable? Number #1 on A&E? Number #1 reality show involving a bloated action movie star running around with the police? If Seagal has a hit show I’m going to be incredibly pissed. It will cause a Fire Down Below. BAM! Another movie title. I’m back in business.

If the fact his show is considered a hit isn’t funny enough, check the first line of his IMDB profile.

Steven Seagal is a striking and somewhat boyishly handsome looking (often with ponytail) and usually impeccably dressed action star who burst onto the martial arts film scene in 1988 in the fast-paced Warner Bros. film Above the Law.

Hard to believe. No, that’s not another Seagal movie title. Yet.

Just wait now he is in AZ and since his wife was an illegal immigrant since her work visa ran out and she never passed an citizenship test we will hopefully see ICE raiding his home for the illegals there. Wonder how that would be if he had to raid his own home for illegals with the A&E crew tapeing.
