See You In Ten speculates on where some of the young, up-and-coming stars of Hollywood will be ten years from now.

    Today’s Subject: Robert Pattinson

How He Got Here: Pattinson began modeling when he was twelve years old but was soon out of the business. In December 2008 he blamed the lack of work as a model on his masculine appearance. He looked “too much like a guy” when models where expected to appear more androgynous. Pattinson started out his acting career by playing the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Later, he landed the leading role of Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight novels by Stephenie Meyer. Pattinson was ranked as one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood based on 2009 earnings.

What Is He Doing Now: Pattinson was the executive producer and star of the film Remember Me. In 2010, Pattinson was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in The World and Forbes ranked him as one of the most powerful celebrities in the world in the Celebrity 100. His upcoming films include Bel Ami, Water For Elephants, Unbound Captives, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts I and II.

See You In Ten: Of course he will still be around. Not only is he already loaded, but the need for bankable leading men is always present. He will have a solid career, probably won’t get any acting awards, but at the end of the day that doesn’t always make you successful. Oh, and chick kind of like him, which never hurts.
