Seven Memorable Action Video Game Trailers

If there’s one thing I can’t stand in today’s world it’s when I see an awesome movie trailer and the movie comes far from delivering.  Now, I don’t know if we’re quite there yet but the emergence of video game trailers puts a little fear into me.  Why?  Because what if the games aren’t living up to their trailer hype either?

Still though, it’s pretty badass to see how far the industry has come.  Hell, most of these trailers trample on movie trailers.  But like I said, I just hope the video games can live up to it.

Here are seven memorable action video game trailers….

    Call of Duty Black Ops

OK the music clearly draws you in.  Oh and by the way did anyone see the actual commercial with Jimmy Kimmel and Kobe Bryant?  That was pretty slick too.  I almost want there to be an infinite amount of Call of Duty games just so we can see trailers.

    Halo Reach World Premiere Trailer

First of all there’s no way any child should watch this.  Second of all this is considerably better than most movie trailers I’ve seen in the past year.  Third of all, does this remind anyone of Avatar a little?  It just seems to have that feel.

    God of War 3

I’ll never forget this trailer.  If it weren’t for Kratos reminding me so much of Temple of Doom I’d have paid even more attention to this.  Seriously though, how kick ass is this?

    Terminator Salvation

I mean come on.  I had to put something like this in here.  Funny because the game was 100 times better than the actual movie.

    I Am Alive

Of all the post apocalyptic games out there I think this one had a seriously kick ass and realistic trailer.   Really reminds me of I am Legend or something of that nature.   I’m not too sure the game really lived up to the trailer but it’s cool to see no?

    Alan Wake

Alan Wake is a psychological action thriller from Remedy, the legendary and renowned developers of highly successful action titles. In this exciting new title exclusively for Windows and Xbox 360, gamers assume the role of Alan Wake, a best-selling suspense author who escapes to a small town to recover from the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée.

Can you blame me for adding this?
