Big Bang Theory Adds Blossom To Cast. I’ve Got An Opinionation On That.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. In the case of most TV shows, if it ain’t broke and it’s doing very well, add eight hundred different things to make it break. That’s my ticked off way of saying Mayim Bialik is becoming a regular on The Big Bang Theory.
The girls are rising on The Big Bang Theory this season. The CBS comedy — which just upped costar Melissa Rauch to a full-fledged series regular — has rewarded Mayim Bialik with a similar bump. The formerBlossom star made her debut as Sheldon’s quasi-girlfriend in last season’s finale and returned this fall on a recurring basis.
Allow me to inform everyone thusly; The Big Bang Theory is the only show on television of which I’ll call myself a true fan. I’m just not sure about all these recurring characters. If used in a Seinfeld type way (a Newman or Putty type character) then I’ll accept it as just the move of a successful show but if it is an attempt to take some of the storyline away from the main four it’s a terrible idea. No episodes about Bernadette at work or Amy Farrah Fowler coping with living among humans.
Like Rauch, Bialik’s new deal is for this season only and — unlike the show’s central quintet — doesn’t call for her to appear in all episodes produced.
Oh good. I’m all for more Kaley Cuoco though. In less clothing. Just want to through that idea out there.
