To keep track of all the people who have arrived on the scene with a massive explosion only to disappear and possibly never be heard from again, EgoTV presents “Where they At?”, a status update of where those people have done since the limelight has faded.

    Today’s Subject: Dave Coulier

How It All Started: At the age 19, Coulier was a regular performer at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and decided to make a voice-over demo. Writing, producing and voicing his own material, he sent demo reel to Hanna Barbera Studios. Coulier was hired within the week. In 1984, Coulier started as the host of the Nickelodeon comedy series Out of Control, a late-night type show for kids. After Out of Control was canceled in 1987, Coulier landed the role of Joey Gladstone on the ABC show Full House.

The Aftermath: Full House became a huge hit, making Coulier a household name. In 1990, Coulier was named the host of America’s Funniest People, a spin-off of the popular America’s Funniest Home Videos. During that time, Coulier continued to do voice-over work for such shows as Extreme Ghostbusters, The Real Ghostbusters and Slimer! and the Real Ghostbusters , Muppet Babies, Scooby and Scrappy-Doo, The Jetsons, Rude Dog and the Dweebs, Detention and Teen Titans. He also found time to get married and divorced, have a son, and date up and coming singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette. “You outta know” how that relationship turned out.

Where Is He Now? After the cancellation of Full House, Coulier struggled to find prominent roles in television and film. After a brief stint on The Surreal Life and Skating with Celebrities, Coulier bounced around on hosting gigs for several shows on Animal Planet. In 2008, Coulier toured with the Clean Guys of Comedy Tour, a family-friendly comedy group and of course is on Twitter.
