Twitter Accounts Worth Following

By now, you’re definitely aware that the world has been gripped by the specter of the social networks. While many people tend to look at twitter as a wasteland of inane status updates featuring the banal meanderings of a bored public (including such gems as “I’m tired of working,” “I hate my dad/mom/girlfriend/gerbil”, and “I love Twilight SOOOOOOO much”), there are actually some interesting accounts worth following. Here are ten accounts (in no particular order) that will add some much needed spice to your twitter feed.
9: @manvszombies – In an alternate reality, a lone survivor of a bizarre zombie infestation tweets his “diary of the apocalypse”, as well as his thoughts and opinions on his supernatural situation…with pics and video!
8: @glenn_howerton, @danny_devito, @thecharlieday, @kaitlin_olson, @realdicktowel – AKA The cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Danny DeVito often posts images of the “troll foot” in various places. If you don’t get that, you’re not watching Always Sunny, and that in itself is a crime.
7: @timelostbatman – Here’s another creative and hilarious twitter account, chronicling the adventures of Batman as he travels through time, encountering various fictional and non-fictional characters.
6: @verified_alf – Gordon Shumway, the furry alien from Melmac, has decided to join the twitter revolution.
5: @darthvader – What would happen if the Lord of the Sith got a twitter account? This. Read it and be afraid. Very afraid. And then laugh.
4: @actuallynph – Neil Patrick Harris. Really.
3: @shitmydadsays – Exactly what it sounds like. But this guy’s dad is batshit crazy, which makes him awesome.
2: @dirt_nasty – twitter account of rapper Dirt Nasty, whose rap style and twitter updates are both insane and… off the chain.
1: @planet_lois: Check out the twitter account of Lois Lane (journalist, adventuress, Superman’s girlfriend), in which she details life in Metropolis and the DC Universe at large, along with the bizarre and twisted interactions with DC superheroes.
