Speed. No, not the drug. I’m talking greasy fast, lighting influenced, blow-your-toupee-off, speed. Now that the day dreaming is over, here’s a list of the World’s Fastest Vehicles.
1. SSC Ultimate Aero
Considered to be the fastest car in the world, this American made Super Car has been clocked at 257 mph. Although the basic Aero is no longer made, the Ultimate can be yours at a mere $654,400. No body ever said greatness came cheap.
2. Shanghai Maglev Train
It may be one of the most expensive trains ever built, costing over a billion dollars. This sleek, magnetic train can run at 220 mph making it one of the fastest in the world. Money well spent if you like to make your appointments early.
3. Bugati Veyron
Ripping across the land at 220 mph, the Bugati is pure sex on wheels. Talk about every guy’s dream car! There’s no question that if you drove this sucker around, you’d get mad super model tail for a long time.
4. XSR48 Superboat
Considered the Bugati Veyron of the Sea, this liquid speedster pushes up to 1600 horse power and if it were a car, could probably blow the Veyron out of the water.
5. NASA’s X-43 unmanned aircraft
An unmanned, hypersonic experimental aircraft used to test various aspects of hypersonic flight, this bad boy soars through the air past Mach 7. Imagine if a guy rode inside.
