Creative Billboard Advertisments

We see them every day. Billboards cover the landscape along roadways and buildings throughout the world and most of the time they’re about as exciting as the blank backgrounds they cover. Every once in a while however, there are a few diamonds in the rough that might actually make you laugh. These instances are few and far between but when you see them you can definitely appreciate them. Here’s a few of our favorites. Enjoy.

Reduce the Bumps

How do you make an advertisement engaging to it’s viewers? Add bubble wrap!.. Absolutely brilliant! Who doesn’t like to pop bubblewrap? It could quite possibly be one of the best inventions ever made because not only does it protect, but it provides hours of entertainment. I personally like the random guy ad the ad just to pop the bubble wrap. I wonder if he even knows that the ad is for removing cellulite?

What’s the Bright Idea?

If you guessed putting a light bulb on a billboard then you are correct! I have to say that I like it for it’s creativity but they must be pretty confident that someone will walk under it at the same time that someone is looking towards it.

Mammoth

I couldn’t think of a better way to promote a ski resort through a billboard that normally would be so boring.

Comb

Rejoice!…for the guy that had to put this up and is still alive! When was the last time you even saw an advertisement for a comb? Let alone one as unique as this? It’s a little different than the ones you got during class picture day.

Bend Over!

“Excuse me sir, but do you have a mint? Perhaps some Banaca?” – Ace Ventura, Pet Detective.

I wonder what’s going through these people’s minds as they walk go through someone’s “exit only?”

Alcoholic’s Dream

What could be better than a tanker full of whiskey? I can just see bums running up that truck trying to drink the fake whiskey.

All You Can Eat

With ads like these you would think that the Australia would be the fattest country in the world.

Red Spray

I’m sure that every graffiti artist gets jealous when they see this ad. Imagine if they could take their art off the walls and onto cars and the street!

Paint Spill

We’ve all see Nationwide Insurance’s TV commercials but who knew that they could make a billboard just as funny? Not sure how this pertains to most people because I personally have never been in a parking lot in fear of a giant paint can tipping over onto my car. It looks cool though!

Dropped Calls

As an AT&T (formerly Cingular) customer I see the irony in this ad as I know more people that have dropped calls with AT&T than any other carrier.

Slingshot

I think this is by far one of the coolest ads I’ve ever seen. Not for the advertisement but for the slingshot! Can you imagine what you could do with a slingshot that big?
