Apparently Veggie Cookie Monster couldn’t handle Big Bird getting all of the attention yesterday for Seseme Street’s 40th anniversary. And who could blame him? He’s definitely the coolest Sesame Street character. Today he took over Skynet Internet giant Google’s home page. Over the last 40 years Cookie Monster has always been a favorite for children with his obsession over his favorite food, cookies. In recent years many bad parents have kept a constant pressure on the show to have Cookie Monster promote healthier food choices. I mean of course it’s the television show’s fault that you go to the store, buy your child bad food, and shove it down their throats till they get fat.

Cookie Monster technically doesn’t even eat cookies. He simply crumbles them up into his mouth and makes a complete mess all over the floor so I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. To appease the many parents in our over-fed country however, the producers of Sesame Street started having Cookie Monster promote healthier foods to the viewing children. Now he considers cookies to be his “sometimes” food.

Personally I want to see Snuffleupagus get in on this action and be on the home page.
