Are you a news junkie? After viewing zimbio’s list of the hottest news anchors on the air, you might be. Here’s three of the hottest anchors on the list and a bit of the story behind their pretty, information-providing faces.
Alycia Lane (#10)
Ahhh, sexy, brunette, bat-shit crazy Alycia Lane. Gotta love a woman who reports on crazy criminals on the local Philadelphia KYW-TV by day, then goes out and assaults a female police officer and then berates her with homophobic slurs. Also remember, Lane was the anchor woman who tried to email bikini-clad pictures of herself to NFL network Anchor Rich Eisen, only to have them accidentally go to his wife.
Robin Meade (#2)
This sizzling anchor was voted the sexiest newswoman by Playboy magazine in 2004 . Currently she resides on CNN in one of the network’s best time slots, and this serious (and seriously hot) anchor has an Emmy to her name.
Lara Logan (#1)
War. Danger. Heat. Sex. South African-born Lara Logan bears all the hallmarks of a devastatingly beautiful heroine of some sort of modern historical epic. Currently the Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for CBS News and 60 Minutes, Logan has been covering the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq ever since 2001 as an embedded reporter.
Last year, Logan’s personal life made it into the headlines when she became pregnant via a love affair with a Texas defense contractor Joe Burkett, while he was still married. Logan’s ex-husband is UK basketball player Jason Siemon, and she also had an affair with CNN correspondent Michael Ware in Iraq a couple years ago. But don’t get your hopes up, gents, Logan married Burkett last year and is taken (for the moment).
