Steve Phillips and The Top 3 Sex Scandals at ESPN

Quite a year its been at ESPN!

1. Steve Phillips Affair – Today, ESPN suspended baseball analyst Steve Phillips for having an affair with a 22-year-old staffer. This one didn’t play out so well for Phillips, but hey, he’s no slick James Bond -Dave Letterman – type!  Here’s the letter his mistress, 22-year-old production assistant Brooke Hundley sent to Steve’s wife Marni. In it, Hundley talks about many private things, even a supposed “birth-mark” on Phillips’ crotch.

After dropping off the letter, Hundley crashed her car into Phillips’ home, and she may have impersonated a 16-year-old to chat with Phillips’ son online. Hear Marni’s frantic 911 call here after an encounter with Hundley at the family’s house.

Marni Phillips has since filed for divorce (shocker). Hundley is likely to be sentenced to watch “Fatal Attraction” over and over again so that she learns how batshit crazy she is.

2. The Erin Andrews Scandal – Earlier this year, Erin Andrews was videotaped through a peephole by a stalker, doing her hair and putting on her makeup in her hotel room. You can see the video and pictures here. Recently, a 48-year old named Michael David Barrett was arrested and he faces federal charges of interstate stalking for taking the videos, trying to sell them to celebrity Web site TMZ and posting the videos online.

3. Rich Eisen, Suzy Shuster, Alycia Lane – This was back in 2007, and sure, it was at the NFL network, not ESPN, but it’s still funny. That’s back when recently divorced news hottie Alycia Lane sent bikini-clad pictures of herself to married football anchor Rich Eisen… the only problem was, she sent them to an email box shared by Eisen and his wife, Suzy Shuster. Oops. Here’s the email Suzy sent back to Lane :

“Boy, do you look amazing in a bikini…congrats! Whatever you’re doing, (Pilates? yoga?) keep doing it – it’s working for you. Anyway, sorry but those seven e-mails you sent to my husband, Rich, well, oops, they came to the email address we both use from time to time, but no worries, I’ll forward the beach shots as well as the ones of you dancing with your friends on to his main address. Do you have it?”

She then provides her hubby’s private e-mail, “since you surely are trying so hard to get his attention. I mean, what better way to get a guy’s attention than with skin! Best – Suzy Shuster Eisen”

Apparently, Alycia didn’t handle the embarrassing incident very well. Later that year, she allegedly assaulted a female police officer and berated her with homophobic slurs after getting pulled over. At this point, her station KYW-TV in Philadelphia fired her… but Alycia filed a lawsuit against the station. Sure, she’s a mess, but a hot entertaining mess, that’s for sure!
